Few little tidbits of interest for porn stores and studios.
Looks like Mercenary Pictures has launched a line of 4hr compilations. Only a few titles so far (5 straight, 1 gay), so I dunno if this is going to become a regular thing. Plus Merc only has like 150 titles out…I wouldn’t think that they could produce a lot of 4hrs without using the same scenes again and again.
Red Light District is taking back the Candy Shop. If I remember correctly, this line was started at Red Light by Stefano and David Joseph and then went over to Mallcom and was distributed by Pulse (who also distributes Red Light), now it’s under the Red Light banner again and rep’d by Lewis Adams. Now if only they’d ditch the VOD cards from their DVD releases…
Rumor has it that Brazzers is looking to start their own VOD site. Yeah, I’m sure the guys who allegedly run/operate Pornhub will create and run a real upstanding VOD site. Besides…who pays for porn?

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – An 18-year-old student at Colorado State University told police that her 30-year-old boyfriend raped her after the two had an argument about him looking at pornography on his computer.
The student, whose name was withheld, said Kevin Hare sexually assaulted her on March 17. The two had been dating for about two months when they got into an argument.

With only a single click Facebook users can add their favorite torrents to their profile to share them with friends. The IFPI is not pleased with the new feature, while FaceBook declined to comment.
With the recent trial out of the way, it seems The Pirate Bay team have had more time for development of the site. Just last week they announced the addition of personal RSS feeds. This week we revealed that they will also offer a new IPRED-busting VPN service.
A federal judge in Pennsylvania has granted a temporary restraining order to prevent a district attorney from charging three teenage girls with the production of child pornography for allowing someone to take photos of them in states of undress.
In his ruling the judge seemed to agree with the plaintiffs that the images in question do not qualify as child pornography.

A man wanted for a Far Southside bank robbery was arrested at an Eastside strip club on Monday afternoon.
Joseph Dimaggio, 24, was at Brad’s Brass Flamingo, 4011 Southeastern Ave., when he was picked up by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. CLIFTON, N.J. (WPIX) — Maureen Kanka, mother of Megan’s Law namesake Megan Kanka, says the 14-year-old New Jersey girl who put her own naked pictures on her MySpace page should not face criminal charges.
The teen, who hasn’t been identified because of her age, has been charged with distribution of child pornography, which would require her - under Megan’s Law - to register as a sex offender.
ShamWow pitchman Vince Shlomi was arrested on felony battery charges in Miami last month following a violent encounter with a hooker, according to The Smoking Gun:
Shlomi told cops he paid [Sasha] Harris about $1000 in cash after she “propositioned him for straight sex.” Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly “bit his tongue and would not let go.” Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue. The affidavit…notes that during the 4 AM fight Harris sustained facial fractures and lacerations all over her face…. After freeing his tongue, a bleeding Shlomi ran to the [hotel] lobby, where security summoned cops. Harris refused to cooperate with officers, who recovered $930 from her purse.
Harris is reportedly considering a lawsuit against Shlomi, though prosecutors “declined to file formal charges” against him.
