The PornNewz RV ran outta propane last night, so the furnace wouldn’t kick on. It’s about 40 degrees here, so with that in mind, I give you the “I’m Freezing My Ass Off” Edition of the PR Roundup. For this edition, all spelling errors shall be forgiven and in the event I actually become frozen during the writing of this entry, I shall complete it come spring when I thaw out.
- -X Industry Jobs has begun highlighting candidates and openings on their front page. I checked and there doesn’t seem to be an opening for positions I was interested in. For example, I wanted to see if the position was open where you pick which old scenes to pass off as New Releases, but no dice. I also wanted to see if there was a position open at Penthouse where you find all the piracy sites so you can support them with Adult Friend Finder banners, but alas…no luck.
- -When I read the headline that “Pureplay offers Handjobs Across America”, my first reaction was….so THAT’S how they’re getting retailers to adopt their Direct 2 Retail Program. But then I remembered that HAA is actually a series they do. Well they are now up to volume 27, and the title is available now from distribu……errrrr wait. Hmmmm….well I’m sure it’s online somewhere.
- -Ryder Skye is on the cover of the new Penthouse movie Layover, which you shouldn’t be carrying because PENTHOUSE SUBSIDIZES PIRACY. Ryder Skye proceeded to give some quote about Penthouse being a great name in the adult industry. Oh Ryder, if only you knew what Penthouse was doing to kill DVD and internet revenues via AFF. Oh and by the way, PENTHOUSE SUBSIDIZES PIRACY. Dunno if I mentioned that or not.
- -Don Wands is rolling out a glass candy cane dildo for the holiday season. Pretty good idea, but I’d be careful leaving that thing laying around if you have kids. The last thing you want is to see your kids playing with that thing under the tree.
- -Evolved Novelties is releasing the True Love line of vibrators that were described by Evolved PR Scott Stein as “Sweet yet powerful, stylish and functional, the True Love edition blends contemporary design with classic sensuality.” Maybe this shows how old I am, but his description reminds me of how Rod Roddy would describe the fabulous prizes on The Price Is Right!
Well that’s it for today. I gotta go thaw out in the shower.
