Buffalo Township, Maryland–We’re keeping an eye on that proposed Buffalo Township ordinance that sets limits on sexually-oriented businesses that locate in the township. The ordinance would require yearly licensing and limit the hours of operation, including a prohibition from opening on Sundays. We know officials’ goal is to maintain a family-oriented community. But there’s also the First Amendment to consider and an owner’s right to operate a legal business.
