Thanks to all the people who have stopped by the booth at Storerotica to give me feedback on the PR Roundup. I appreciate the kind words and even the criticisms. I’m glad that people are responding to the section either way. Although, I won’t feel that I’ve truly ‘arrived’ until I just randomly get punched at an event….yeah I’m lookin’ at you Evan Seinfeld!
-Tommy Gunn is releasing a POV movie for New Sensations. I’m hoping that there will be a Behind The Scenes segment where we get Tommy’s POV while he walks us through how he spikes his hair. Tommy said he’s looking to “shoot something that was more than what I’ve seen in the genre”. They already do that Tommy, it’s called Gonzo.
-Kelly Madison of Pornfidelity fame has launched a free site for fans to check out clips of her work. Killer idea…free porn on the internet. While I don’t see this as being really any different than every studio’s “trailer” page, the surfer is also given the opportunity to buy Kelly’s used panties on the site. Let’s just hope she didn’t leave any ‘trailers’ in those as well. The part that really scares me is the PR states that fans can purchase: “my personal bras and panties and other unmentionables.” What else is there after your panties that is unmentionable? I could list a lot of really disgusting things here, but I’ll leave that up to your imagination. See…the PR Roundup is interactive as well!!!
-Harmony Films has released the latest volume in it’s Young Harlots series : Dirty Secrets. I like the word harlot, it doesn’t get enough play over here in the States. Neither does trollop for that matter. But back to the PR…Gazzman directed it and he’s a pretty talented guy so this should be a good porn to whack it to. I do like that one of the girls is named Eve Angel…c’mon girl…quit trying to so hard to get in good with a studio. What’s next Julie Jordan, Shane Zworld, Viv Id, and Elle Agentangel?
-Some website called AdultGadgetSpots put out a press release that I defy you to make sense of. Maybe I’m not totally hip to the whole internet thing..but this makes no sense to me whatsoever:
AdultGadgetSpots.com and GagetSpots.net (sic) both operate as a free membership-based ad network that distributes advertising “gadget spots” on “gadgets” installed on the entire network of members’ websites. When I read this it kinda reminded me of Strange Brew…when Doug Mckenzie would just spout off some legal mumbo jumbo to sound impressive. “There’s legal precedents setting cases in law”
-PopPorn interviewed AVN founder Paul Fishbein. The hard-hitting interview featured Fishbein taking on some pretty interesting subjects. First he explains the mathematical formula used to formulate their sales charts. Then Fish goes takes us through the entire process of how the AVN Awards are decided, speaking with each voting member of the AVN Academy of Film. Fish then explained how much of a bargain a booth was at the January AEE show. All in all it was an eye opening interview. OK, OK…so he didn’t touch on any of those subjects, but since you’re now wondering about those things, here’s the answers:

-Sunny Leone is starting her own studio SunLust Pictures. Leone will be producing, writing, directing, taking out the trash, doing the taxes, parking employee cars, and providing catering for the new company. Sunny recently started doing dudes with “Sunny Loves Matt” with her then fiance, Matt Somethingorother. Since then they broke up, guess they didn’t love each other enough to make it work. Ya know though…those Star LOVES Star movies have a track record of not working out. I remember a friend of mine watched Jenteal Loves Rocco and came back with a review. He said that “she obviously doesn’t love him, she didn’t suck his cock the entire movie!” Well put sir.
-Like many other genres…porn has now officially bastardized the spoof genre by just over saturating it. Hustler is releasing “Get Smartass”, which if you think about it, the title doesn’t really make any sense at all. Worse yet, the Press Release calls it “clever”. If this is what qualifies for “clever” we’ve seriously lowered the bar. Plus, porn has been knocking off Hollywood movies since Day 1, so it’s not like this is anything new. Now it just seems like desperate attempts to piggy-back on the success of Not The Bradys. Here’s the witty synopsis from the box:

-I saw a Press Release that would make the Religious Right go apeshit if they saw it. Manhunt is having a “full-contact sex party”, set in a “6,700-square-foot indoor-outdoor dungeon with multiple fully equipped play spaces, a sling room, dark rooms and cages”. Reminds me of my last birthday party at McDonalds.
-Evil Angel is releasing it’s first ever Blu-Ray title…Buttman’s Beautiful Brazilian Ass. At first it was just the big feature companies doing hi-def, then Anabolic jumped on board the Blu-Ray bandwagon and now more and more gonzo studios are doing it. Evil Angel, and more specifically John Stagliano, always puts out great titles, so this should be no exception. And since it’s Buttman, there’s sure to be plenty of hot anal sex. So just imagine what you’ll be able to see in that gaping butthole when it’s in high def….w00t!
